Meet the Director
Jon Haycock Director of North Woods Camp This will be Jon's 3rd summer at North Woods Camp. His first two years were as the Assistant Director. Jon lives in Holliston, MA with his wife Tracy, daughter Ella and soon to arrive son. He received both his B.S. and Masters in Education from Boston University.
This is his 9th year as a middle school teacher in Medfield. When not in the classroom he is out coaching track. Camping has always been an integral part of Jon's life. He is a former camper, counselor and director (6 yrs at William Lawrence Camp). Jon feels overnight camping offers a wonderful opportunity for a boy to try new things, gain confidence, learn to lead, develop cooperative team spirit, live with others – often making lifelong friends – all in a fun atmosphere. Jon loves to see campers return year after year becoming counselors themselves and emulating their former counselors from their camper days.
